Brent is a digital-native, award-winning manager and producer of visual content -- video and photography -- for some of the industry’s most prominent and influential publications, both print and online. He has expert-level experience with the Adobe creative suite, including Premiere and Photoshop, as well as extensive experience producing photo and video shoots, including location scouting, hiring crew for both video and photo, directing and making editing decisions on set and trafficking and managing assets post shoot for publication across various platforms.

Currently a freelance picture editor at The New York Times, he has been the Director of Photography at Bloomberg Business, Associate Director of Photography at People Magazine, and was Vogue magazine's first online art director, overseeing the visual redesign of Vogue.com as well as coordinating and editing photographic and video coverage of New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks, and major events such as the Met Gala and Fashion's Night Out for both the web site and the magazine. He previously worked as a photo and video editor for Condé Nast Portfolio. 

He has conceived and produced many original and online-exclusive investigative photographic pieces, collaborating with some of the industry's greatest talents including Bruce Gilden, Ed Kashi, Ben Baker, Christopher Morris, Amy Arbus, Ron Haviv, Ben Baker, Lynsey Addario, James Whitlow Delano, Jill Greenberg, and more.

Brent spent eight years as a web designer and then a photo editor at The New York Times, where he produced many award-winning multimedia pieces, videos and photo essays. His own photographic work has been published in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Art Forum, Bloomberg Businessweek, Der Spiegel, Zeit Magazine, Conde Nast Portfolio, O, Viking Books and Random House Books.

As an independent filmmaker, he has directed and produced several short narrative films and is in production on a long-term feature-length documentary about AIDS and classical music.
